Enrique J. Young, President + CEO

Mr. Enrique Young is the President and CEO of FEBA Security Services. Mr. Young is a retired U.S. Army Lt. Colonel who has managed security forces for more than 30 years. After being discharged from the U.S. Army, Mr. Young served as Director of Operations for a company in the National Capital Region, for QI Security Services, supporting physical security programs with DHS/FPS, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Department of Labor (DOL). As FEBA president, Mr. Young directly oversees contract and corporate performance objectives, and will support the MGM Theater at National Harbor, Maryland requirement.

The Forward Edge Business Alliance (FEBA) is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, (SDVOSB) with a CAGE Code: 7A9R1) was founded in 2014 after Mr. Young discovered that the security industry seemed to be lacking a top rated second to none security guard services company that provided protective officers with the military decorum reflective of his high standards. FEBA now has more than 100 employees living and working in Prince Georges County.

FEBA is also a certified Small Business licensed in the State of Maryland as a Security Guard Services Company and as a Private Investigators License with Prince Georges County, and the Maryland Department of Transportation minority and supplier development certifications. FEBA’s core service is to provide armed and unarmed guard and event services to commercial, private, state and federal clients throughout the United States. Our clients include the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Protective Service (DHS/FPS); Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA), The Theater at National Harbor and Maryland State Police, Training Academy.

Calling upon our senior leaderships’ security experience over the last 30 years, our management approach provides the resource capacity to respond to multiple, concurrent event-driven tasks (ex: temporary services, training operations, inclement weather), and performance variables that may be necessary on any security services contract. FEBA’s overall management approach is built on Mr. Young’s experience in the U.S. Army, where he served in Afghanistan, in Iraq and the U.S performing access control and police Services on similar size and scope contracts for FPS and other U.S. Government agencies.

FEBA been vetted and approved by the Maryland Lottery Board to provide security services to the MGM Theater, and has provided the Theater at National Harbor with back stage security services since February 2017, and with Usher Services since December 2017, always performing exceptionally, understanding and practicing our core value of customer satisfaction.

FEBA has mobilized more than 54 security staffers to support Events, with as little as 8 hours’ notice. FEBA has proven that it can reduce and prevent risks as FEBA has intervened on several occasions, preventing hecklers and political activities from entering the back stage areas. Our professional staff and official appearance is what separates us from the rest. We have lived up to our mission to provide relevant and ready customer service. FEBA has proven it’s loyalty to the Theater at National Harbor.

Nathaniel Wood Jr, Vice President + COO

Nathaniel Wood Jr.’s career exemplifies service, self-motivation, and the spirit of sharing knowledge with others. After honorable service as a decorated Marine Corps sergeant E-5, he attended the American University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. He then began his career in law enforcement, working as a probation and parole officer. In 1981 he started his security career, working in as a Corporate Safety and Security Manager for two five hundred companies. Since 1989 he has worked as a security manager in and at more than 28 Government Buildings in the National Capital Area, overseeing hundreds of employees at many Department of Homeland Security, the Federal Protection Agency and other Federal Agencies, such as the Department of Energy, the U.S. Coast Guard headquarters, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, The Defense Intelligence Agency, the Domestic Nuclear Detection Office, and the Smithsonian Institution. In this work he has managed everything from Marketing, Business Development, Proposal Writing, Labor Relations, Project Management, Contract Management, Security Training, Conflict Resolution, , badging, conducting security vulnerability assessments and making quality assurance inspections.

Mr. Wood is an approved DHS guard and supervisor trainer having trained more than 500 prospective PSOs over the past 15 years. He has held Virginia training certificates and has developed functional training academies at several jurisdictions using the templates of the DHS/FPS SMART Book. Mr. Wood has a Master’s degree in Education, a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice (American University) and an Associate’s Degree in Police Science. Mr. Wood worked as an adjunct instructor at Forest Park Community College in St. Louis Missouri, teaching criminal justice and police science and was selected by the Smithsonian Institution to train its unarmed security guards at the Marymount University. Mr. Wood joined FEBA Security Services as its Chief Operations Officer in February 2017.
